Aside from being in the piano business, Kretzer Piano has been a true partner with the community. For example, their popular “Music for the Mind” concert series is held the third Tuesday of every month at 7 pm in the Harriet Himmel Theater at CityPlace in West Palm Beach.
The monthly concerts have been held for the past nine years. Since they began, they have featured over 8,800 young performers and raised about $300,000 for music education in Palm Beach and Martin County schools and youth music groups. The affordable ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students with all money going to the performing organization.

A group of young music students called “Kretzer Kids” entertain on weekends at nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Palm Beach County. The group is comprised of talented music students from local schools who have worked with music therapists from Hospice to learn how to relate to the patients. They perform classical, popular, jazz and religious music to the delight of the residents. The program is funded by Kretzer Piano.
Kretzer’s Monster Concerts and Piano-Thons have raised over $60,000 for local children’s charities such as the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Children’s Hospice. They have been held in the Gardens of the Palm Beaches Mall, Palm Beach Mall and the Royal Poinciana Playhouse.
Kathi has been the Musical Director for the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce for over twenty years presenting young singers, pianists and choral groups at monthly meetings at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach.
