TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Playing the piano is more than playing the notes: it enhances brain development; it builds the character skills of self-discipline and mastery; and through performance, builds self-esteem and confidence. My degree in Music Education and 30 years experience in piano instruction have enabled me to discover what motivates each of my students so that they experience the gift of self-expression through music. A comprehensive program with emphasis on note reading, technique development, music theory, ear training, artistic interpretation and expression is tailored to meet each student's assessed competencies, developmental level and, most importantly, their personality!

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
When taking a music lesson a student should never feel stressed or uncomfortable. He or she should feel at home with the teacher so this way they are only thinking oabout the wonderful experience they are about to encounter. Music elevates the mathematical side of the brain and incorporates both sides of the brain with reference to dexterity and a spiritual beauty of what music brings to your life. So come and take lessons from me or my staff and fulfill your dreams.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
With over 26 years of teaching experience, which includes Rice University, Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and beginners of all ages, my goal is to inspire my students to love music and to develop their potential at the piano through the study of primarily classical music (as well as other styles), technique, theory, sight-reading, ear-training, memorization and performance. Playing by ear, composing, ensemble playing and accompanying are also encouraged. Because I am also a performer, I am able to share the path to polished piano playing and "short cuts" for efficient learning based on real life experiences. Please see my website for testimonials.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
All children are born with musical ability. We have a window of opportunity to develop their musicality from birth to age 9. The most important tool we have to start with is the ear, therefore we establish that foundation with ear training and solfege (do, re, mi, etc) early. I customize the curriculum to meet the needs of each student. This includes ear training, solfege, interval training, rhythm, sight playing, music theory, technique, and repertoire appropriate to the student's level. A teacher must be patient with every child, and very respectful of their needs. The musical journey for the child is a partnership among student, teacher, and parent. I enjoy the Faber and the Musikgarten curricula.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
The study of music is an opportunity for students to aim high and realize goals through the joy of music. In my studio, I approach each student as an individual and we work together to share the musical process and its products. The student gains the required skills to express musical thoughts with beauty and confidence. The student may take these skills forward as a lifelong experience, in music and other areas of life.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teaching piano is a joy! There are three fundamental principals that I follow when working with my students: ~ 1 ~ Music is a combination of rhythm, melody and harmony. Learning to play piano is a great expression of music. ~ 2 ~ Build a strong foundation where students have an educated understanding of music theory. ~ 3 ~ Create a fun-filled learning experience for ages 5-100 is important to keep students enthusiastic about practicing and playing piano.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Creating a rapport between student and teacher is paramount. Learning the pianoforte should be more of a game than a chore and fun to perfect. My goal is to make memories of piano playing a rewarding and delightful experience. Our journey as teacher and student leads us to paint a musical picture together. A spark of interest in music should be nurtured to grow into passion for music that will last a lifetime.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I moved here from Los Angeles to open Absolute Music Studios, a modern, professional studio filled with the most skilled and passionate instructors around. We base our private lessons on three philosophies: 1) Make the lessons fun. 2) Make the lessons educational with clear and attainable goals. 3) Make concepts and styles relevant for each individual student. At Absolute Music, we believe that all three philosophies are crucial to provide the proper service of a music lesson studio. While we will make the lessons fun, we make sure that each student is progressing and working towards their individual goals. We want to give people the skills to continue playing music not for the duration of taking lessons, but for the rest of their lives!

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Piano began for me at age 7 and from childhood to graduate school, each teacher I studied with had a completely different approach to teaching. I took away something unique from each of them and applied it to my own teaching philosophy. A student is as individual as the music they will be learning. Be it classical, pop, blues or all three, its my job to listen to their preferences, give them guidance and introduce them to many different genres of music. Although structured, lessons must also be fun for the student. My goal is for them to leave their first lesson having learned a simple tune. This gives them confidence and motivates them to practice and prepare for their next lesson. Each lesson is different since there are a variety of activities to choose from like ear training, learning by rote, rhythmic drills, duets and improvisation. For me personally, learning
piano translated into other valuable life skills; patience, confidence and sheer joy.

Simona Talberga
Violin Teacher
PHONE: 562-922-2748
LOCATION: Jupiter, FL
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My goal is to teach students to have full knowledge of violin technique and learn to play musically. I always look for the best way to communicate the knowledge I have with my students and help them understand every aspect of violin playing. I encourage them to look for ways how to solve any technical problem by asking questions What? Why? How?
I strongly suggest my students to plan their practice time very carefully. Scales, etudes, exercises, short pieces, concerti, all need every violinist's full attention. Therefore, intelligent practicing, discipline, and diversity is very important.
I believe that each student has a potential to be composer and improviser. In lessons I encourage students to think and play “outside the box” and really explore all possibilities of the violin which will help to develop imagination and musicality.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
It's all about the music! My heart's desire is that each of my students will love and enjoy music for a lifetime. My goal is to equip them with the skills and tools necessary to pursue musical excellence by providing a firm foundation in ear training, note literacy, rhythm, sight reading and expression. Along with conventional music theory, I highly encourage the creative efforts of composition and improvisation. I firmly believe that a well trained musician is empowered to achieve success in any chosen genre, whether it be instrumental or vocal.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Having earned a Master's Degree in Piano Performance, I know that playing music can bring life-Iong joy. People enjoy doing things they can do well. My students love to play the piano because I have taught them how to play with beauty and with a thorough understanding of their music. I believe that every student should be taught not just piano music, but music theory, proper technique, proper pedalling, lyrical phrasing, ear training and a thorough understanding of all aspects of music and music interpretation. Uncorrected bad habits and poor technique will last a lifetime!
